Philips 40-Slice CT
Scanner is Ready for Patients.
Madera Community Hospital has
installed a new Philips Brilliance 40-slice CT (Computed
Topography) scanner. This new highly technical medical
machine provides very clear and precise images of the
body for advanced diagnosis by Radiologists and
Physicians. It offers auto-verification of patient
positioning, high-speed spatial resolution, isocenter
determination and whole-body thin slice coverage of the
human body – all done in a very comfortable environment
for the patient. This $1.2 million project is one of a
number of projects the hospital is working to upgrade
its equipment and facilities.

What is a CT Scan?
