New Diagnostic Equipment Now Available at Madera Community Hospital

Philips 40-Slice CT Scanner is Ready for Patients.

 

Madera Community Hospital has installed a new Philips Brilliance 40-slice CT (Computed Topography) scanner. This new highly technical medical machine provides very clear and precise images of the body for advanced diagnosis by Radiologists and Physicians. It offers auto-verification of patient positioning, high-speed spatial resolution, isocenter determination and whole-body thin slice coverage of the human body – all done in a very comfortable environment for the patient. This $1.2 million project is one of a number of projects the hospital is working to upgrade its equipment and facilities.

CT, which stands for Computed Tomography (sometimes referred to as a “CAT”scan), is a fast, painless diagnostic tool doctors can use to see inside the body.
