Madera Community Hospital receives San Joaquin Valley College 2018 Employer
of the Year. In a letter from Nick Gomez, President of San Joaquin Valley
College, Madera Community Hospital was lauded for supporting 12 students
through externships; ensuring students received quality hands-on practical
skills in the workplace. “The skills our students learned through
externships are immensely valuable and our college cannot accomplish this
without the help and partnership of employers like Madera Community Hospital,”
said Gomez.
Madera Community Hospital is committed to improving access to and advancing
the quality of healthcare provided in our community. “We are pleased

welcoming those seeking healthcare careers,” said Karen Paolinelli,
Chief Executive Officer, Madera Community Hospital. “The appreciation
and recognition truly goes to our clinical practitioners who donate their
time and expertise in training the next generation of clinicians,”
Paolinelli added.
In 2018, Madera Community Hospital invested more than $120,000 in pre-graduate
clinical training through partnerships with Madera High School, Madera
Center, Clovis Adult School, Fresno City College, Fresno Pacific University,
Fresno State, California Health Sciences University and San Joaquin Valley College.
