If an exception is made for a visitor (only one) the designated visitor
will have to pass a temperature and respiratory screen.
Family and loved ones wanting to speak with a patient can call, (559) 675-5555.

Pre-COVID-19 Visiting Hours & Waiting Areas
Madera Community Hospital strives to ensure all visitors enjoy full and
equal visitation privileges consistent with patient preferences and hospital
policies. Madera Community Hospital does not restrict, limit, or otherwise
deny visitation privileges on the basis of race, color, national origin,
religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability.

with the House Supervisor.
Please adhere to the following while visiting Madera Community Hospital:
Visiting Hours
General Visiting hours are 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. To promote a healing environment
we restrict visitation of children under 13 years of age. Exceptions may
be made based on the patient's health condition. The
Children's Visitor Center is open to children while their parent is visiting a patient. All hospital
doors, excluding the Emergency Department Entrance, are locked after 8:00 p.m.
Family Spokesperson
When a patient is from a large family, it is recommended the family appoint
a spokesperson to be the nursing staff contact. The spokesperson can then
share information provided by the care team, with the family.
Mobile Devices
Madera Community Hospital provides free guest WiFi access. Mobile devices
are allowed in the hospital but certain models may interfere with medical
equipment and users will be asked to turn off the device. No video or
photography is allowed on Madera Community Hospital premises.
Visiting Guidelines
- No children under the age of 13.
- Bedside visiting is restricted to no more than two visitors at a time.
- Smoking is not permitted anywhere on Madera Community Hospital campus,
inside or outside. This is enforced for the safety of our property and
the health of our employees and guests.
- A "No Visitors" sign may be posted at any time to ensure the patient's comfort.

Emergency Department
Visitation with a patient in the Emergency Department is dependent on the
patient’s condition and the Emergency Department environment.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
ICU patient visitation is limited and restricted based on medical condition.
If the ICU waiting room is occupied, visitors are asked to wait in the
main lobby. All ICU visitors will be asked to wait in the main lobby after
8:00 p.m.
Maternity Visiting Hours
Maternity Visiting Hours are between the hours of 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Siblings are allowed to visit during the
hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Fathers or the primary support person(s)
may visit at any time. Only Labor and Delivery coaches are permitted in
the birthing room and are required to wear a “coach” ID bracelet
which will be provided by the Labor and Delivery staff.
Waiting Areas
Waiting areas are located throughout the hospital. Children cannot be left
unattended in any area of the hospital.
