Excellence begins with people.

Karen PaolinelliThis past year Madera Community Hospital was recognized for substantial gains in healthcare quality, safety and patient satisfaction. Revitalizing a hospital requires the collective effort of everyone in our organization, from the decision-makers in the boardroom to the care-providers at the patient’s bedside. The progress we’ve made is the direct result of a truly remarkable collaboration of more than 200 credentialed medical staff and more than 900 employees.

Our revitalization efforts were first recognized in April of 2017 when our Labor and Delivery services were recognized as Top 10% in the Nation. Madera Community Hospital has consistently earned this standing for the past seven reporting periods. In June 2017, we demonstrated our unified commitment to placing the care and safety of patients and their families first when the Hospital Facilities Accreditation Program awarded Madera Community Hospital with the Seal of Excellence. The 3-year accreditation recognizes excellence in federal standards for patient safety, continual quality improvement and environmental safety. In early October 2017, our General Surgeons were awarded 5 Stars in apendectomy care.

In late October 2017, our most rewarding acknowledgement of our diligent commitment to revitalizing care at Madera Community Hospital was announced nationwide from The Leapfrog Group. Madera Community Hospital is the only private, not-for-Profit, community based hospital in the Region to earn an ‘A’ from The Leapfrog Group.

We are proud of our hospital. Our physicians, surgeons and staff strive every day to provide the highest level of care for our community. Our proven and recognized quality is building confidence and resulting in increased patient volume, expedited emergency care, a reduction in transfers, and for the first time in our history, Madera Community Hospital is receiving high-acuity patient transfers from other institutions.

I have invested more than 30 years with Madera Community Hospital and consider it a privilege to serve this community. My priority has been and will continue to be advocating for quality health services for the people who live and work here.

I welcome you to choose Madera Community Hospital for your care and your career.
