Madera Community Hospital receives San Joaquin Valley College 2018 Employer of the Year. In a letter from Nick Gomez, President of San Joaquin Valley College, Madera Community Hospital was lauded for supporting 12 students through externships; ensuring students received quality hands-on practical skills in the workplace. “The skills our students learned through externships are immensely valuable and our college cannot accomplish this without the help and partnership of employers like Madera Community Hospital,” said Gomez.

Madera Community Hospital is committed to improving access to and advancing the quality of healthcare provided in our community. “We are pleased to be acknowledged for our educational partnership and our culture of welcoming those seeking healthcare careers,” said Karen Paolinelli, Chief Executive Officer, Madera Community Hospital. “The appreciation and recognition truly goes to our clinical practitioners who donate their time and expertise in training the next generation of clinicians,” Paolinelli added.

In 2018, Madera Community Hospital invested more than $120,000 in pre-graduate clinical training through partnerships with Madera High School, Madera Center, Clovis Adult School, Fresno City College, Fresno Pacific University, Fresno State, California Health Sciences University and San Joaquin Valley College.
