Giving on Tuesday for #GivingTuesday

lions international logoMadera, CA November 25, 2019 - Madera Community Hospital encourages the community to join in Giving Tuesday activities.

Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2019, is the first Tuesday following Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday. “The holidays can be tough for those who are sick or injured, those who are hungry and those who are alone,” said Karen Paolinelli, Chief Executive Officer, Madera Community Hospital. “Giving Tuesday gives our team an opportunity to demonstrate their compassion outside of our Hospital and Clinics.”

Launching the season of giving, Madera Community Hospital invites you to join our Physicians and Employees in Giving Tuesday activities with our Hospital and Clinics.

  • The Second Annual Madera Evening Lions Club Giving Tuesday Blood Drive is scheduled from
1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. in the Madera Community Hospital Annex Building – Shebelut and Perini Rooms. Each month, Madera Community Hospital provides an average of 100 pints of blood for patients needing transfusions. Last year, the Lions Club Giving Tuesday Blood Drive contributed nearly 40 pints of blood to the Central California Blood Bank.
  • In addition to the blood drive, Madera Community Hospital and Clinics are collecting non-perishable food and toiletry items. The items collected will be given to food distribution organizations in Madera, Chowchilla and Mendota. Collection bins will be located in the Madera Community Hospital Main Lobby and at Family Health Services and Chowchilla Medical Center.
  • Madera Community Hospital is also a collection site for Madera Police Department’s senior gift giving campaign. Gifts will be given to the senior population residing in Madera convalescent and rehabilitation facilities.
