Telemedicine; Making It Easier To 'Stay Home, Stay Well and Stay Connected'

Madera, CA – Madera Community Hospital’s Family Health Services, Chowchilla Medical Center and Specialty Clinic expands telemedicine services.

In response to COVID-19, Telemedicine is being offered to all patients seeking primary care. Telemedicine is a tool to ensure vulnerable patients and those needing outpatient clinic visits, are able to make appointments with their doctor or healthcare provider.

Telemedicine visits are facilitated by the patient making a routine appointment, downloading the free and confidential app on their smart phone or tablet and then phoning in to visit with their practitioner.

Following the Governor’s orders to stay at home is critical to reducing the spread of COVID-19. The Hospital launched the service last week in Family Health Services, Chowchilla Medical Center and the Specialty Clinic. “With many community physician offices closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, telemedicine allows patients to stay home, stay well and stay connected…to a healthcare provider,” said Karen Paolinelli, Chief Executive Officer, Madera Community Hospital.

Telemedicine visits can be scheduled by calling (559) 675-5530. When making the appointment, patients will be instructed on how to install the telemedicine application. For more information on telemedicine, COVID-19 or how you can help, visit MaderaHospital.org.
