How You Can Help

Stay Home

The California State Public Health Officer and Director of the California Department of Public Health is ordering all individuals living in the State of California to stay home or at their place of residence, except as needed to maintain continuity of operation of the federal critical infrastructure sectors.

The best way to prevent COVID-19 is to avoid being exposed to this virus. Learn more here.

Personal Protective Equipment – Donations

Personal Protective Equipment, PPE, is important for those who are providing direct patient care. Today, Madera Community Hospital has a full supply of surgical masks, N95 masks, face shields, and gowns. However, as you have learned from the national news, all hospitals are having difficulty with securing PPE. In preparation for the predicted patient surge, we appreciate donations of all regular hospital PPE along with disposable and washable painter’s coveralls

According to the Centers for Disease Control, fabric masks are a crisis response option with other supplies have been exhausted. We are extremely grateful for the community’s support and specifically the Madera Medical Mask Brigade. Their advanced mask pattern can be found on

Deaconess Hospital provides instructions on how to make a mask for healthcare workers during COVID-19 coronavirus. Visit Deaconess.com/FaceMasks or watch their instructional video.

Give Blood

Blood donations are safe and essential.

Your blood donations are needed to ensure an adequate blood supply. The blood drive is from 8am - 5pm and will be located in front of the Outpatient Center using the Blood Mobile. For more information contact, Sherrie Bakke, (559) 675-5502. The Central California Blood Bank has also extended their Fresno Donor Center Hours. Find a center here.

Support our Workforce

Want to help, donate now!

The demand for a professional and committed workforce has never been greater. The current visitation restrictions make it really tough on both families and patients. We can use technology to help bring comfort to both the patient and the family. We also need technology to help patients, in isolation, stay connected to their nurse while limiting the number of times our doctors and nurses enter their room. Please help.

COVID Relief

Madera Community Hospital Foundation is proud to support our workforce, and know we couldn’t provide the support without your generosity.

These funds will be distributed to areas of greatest need, recommended by our healthcare professionals and approved by the Foundation Advisory Board.

Restaurants interested in showing gratitude for our workforce through gifts of food, please coordinate safe delivery, by contacting the Foundation Office:
